“La Tiendita de Juguetes” (The Little Toy Store) tells the story of Scaramouches and Burbujita, who with great dedication make Latin American toys, so that children may entertain themselves in a healthy manner. In between games and dances Scaramouches and Burbujita make marbles (canicas), spinning tops (trompos), kites (chichiguas o cometas), rag dolls (muñecas de trapos), yoyos, etc.
As the story develops, Scaramouches must go off to make his regular delivery of toys all over Latin America. He leaves Burbujita in charge of the store, at this moment, the evil Scopeton Pistola appears with the purpose of becoming a millionaire by contaminating the world with waste and selling violent themed toys to children.
Scopeton manages to make Burbujita his prisoner, but just when his evil deeds start to come into play Scaramouches comes to the rescue thanks to the aid of the children who witness this story as it unfolds.
This colorful and entertaining piece, teaches children good lessons and values through an interactive theatrical setting. But most of all, it teaches the importance of love, peace, friendship and THE conservation of our natural environment for the benefit of the next generation of children to come.
